Special moments
unseized, tumble
between my
fingers.
Small passages,
plus three,
trapped in my
self.
Time marches,
each second,
the weight of
eternity.
Frozen,
incapable of
movement.
Fearful of the
burden.
Almost missed,
the tiny clicks of
the clock’s
hand.
Add up,
cumulatively equaling
years, decades
swiftly passed.
I lean
into compassion,
each breath another
chance.
